Valentine’s Day is a special day that happens on February 14th. We celebrate it
to show love and kindness to the people we care about, like family and friends.
The day is named af ter Saint Valentine, a man who did nice things for people a
long time ago.
On Valentine’s Day, people give cards with sweet messages to each other.
These are called valentines. Some people also give flowers, chocolates, or small
gif ts. Schools of ten have fun parties where students exchange valentines and
enjoy treats.
